1. Confirmation and Cancellation Policies
A deposit of 50% of the booking is required on confirmation.
Confirmation details required:
- Name of the suite you have selected
- Date(s) required
- Time of your arrival
- Number of guests and
- Any special requirements
The deposit is non-refundable unless the booking is able to be replaced.
2. Payment Terms
A deposit of 50% of the booking is required on confirmation.
The balance of payment (including any extras eg. plattered dinner, drinks etc.) is required prior to leaving The Mudcastle.
Methods for payment are cash, cheque, Eftpos or credit card (Bankcard or Visa).
3. Check in and Check out
B & B guest check in is 4 pm and check out is 12 noon. Earlier check in may be possible on request.
4. Our Special Requirements
Our only requests to you as guests in our home are, firstly, that footwear worn inside is not of the type that will damage our clay and timber floors ie. no fine high heels.
Secondly, we would ask that a no smoking policy is observed inside (and that you ensure the windows and doors are closed if you are smoking directly outside).
Lastly, if babies and children are staying overnight, they must be supervised at all times for their own safety. Parents need to feel comfortable that our furnishings and animals will be safe and that the enjoyment of other guests will not be disrupted.

5. On-site Activities, Facilities and Features
- The Mudcastle Bar - our Fully Licensed Bar is available to serve in-house guests at any time, anywhere on the property. We offer and promote local wine, champagne, beer and juices allowing you a taste of the region even if the vineyards are closed at the time of your stay.
- Piano - we love to hear our guests play the Bernstein baby grand situated in the main Banqueting Turret.
- Library - should you forget to bring a book to read, our library includes collections of short stories, novels and classic works (some in French and German). We also offer CD's and a selection of board games and jigsaws for those wanting a truly laid back time away.
- Television, Video and DVD - available on request.
- Office Facilities - available by arrangement. Please note, cellphone coverage and internet speed are limited by our country location.
- Indoor Spa - situated indoors for year round comfort, our spa pool is available at any time of the day or night for relaxation with even a glass of wine on the side if you'd like. The spa area can be locked for total privacy should you wish.
- Swimming Pools - The Mudcastle offers an open air pool set in our expansive gardens and fed by a cascading mountain stream feature. Guests choosing to stay in The Peach Suite also have exclusive use of the secluded upper pool of the castle.
- Petanque, Croquet and Billiards - if you're feeling competitive, these leisurely pursuits are all on hand.
- Animals - for allergy sufferers, we advise we have 3 cats and 1 duck.

7. Parking
Off street parking is available in the top carpark behind the crenellated castle wall. This is well off the main road and very safe.
7. Additional Catering Requirements
A substantial, multi-course breakfast selection is included in the B & B tariff and this often doubles for lunch but, for those heading out for the day, a Picnic Hamper may be requested. Advance notice is required to order one of these. Minimum charge is $50.00 incl GST.
Private Dining - with advance notice, a three course plattered dinner selection is available for those wanting the ultimate in pampered experiences. Dinner is delivered to your suite at a time of your choosing. Cost is $100.00 incl GST for dinner for 2. You will find our beverage list located in the guest writing compendium should you wish to sample our superb local beverages.
Dinner Party. Should you wish to host a dinner party for friends and/or family living locally, we would be delighted to assist you with this. We are Fully Licensed to serve alcohol Monday - Sunday from 7am to 3am of the following day.
